PHILOSOPHY
We at Mildred Helms Elementary define education as the development of the totality of talents with which a child has been endowed. Because this is a school, personnel are deeply concerned with academics and strive to help the children reach their full potential. We believe children have the right to be given
opportunities to express themselves as happy, open, caring, sharing and capable persons. As a result of these convictions, this school seeks to establish a community of those who teach, those who learn, and
those who care about each other.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Mildred Helms Elementary is to provide a positive learning environment and to enhance the self-esteem of students by providing a curriculum that sets high expectations in meeting the needs of individual children.
